The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), Sri Lanka’s National Professional Institute for Supply Chain Management Education, successfully conducted a comprehensive workshop on “Strategic Procurement Excellence: Optimizing Sourcing, Negotiation & Global Trade” on 26th August 2025.
The event brought together a diverse audience of professionals from supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and finance sectors. This full-day session (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) equipped participants with actionable strategies to optimize sourcing processes, enhanced negotiation capabilities, and align procurement with global trade dynamics ultimately driving competitive advantage.
The workshop was led by Mr. Priyanga Kirihena, General Secretary and Senior Faculty Member of ISMM, whose expertise and practical insights significantly enriched the learning experience. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, President of ISMM, along with several ISMM staff members.
This interactive session provided an invaluable platform for industry professionals to broadened their understanding of strategic procurement, share best practices, and explore innovative approaches towards achieving organizational excellence.
